DIZH Public Data Lab

Changes such as rising rents, new forms of work, growing cities, the energy crisis, the loss of agricultural land and the climate crisis are influencing and changing social welfare in various ways.

Reacting to such changes presents challenges to the Canton of Zurich in fulfilling its constitutional duty to maintain living standards and ensure sustainable ecological, economic and social development. The DIZH Public Data Lab supports the Canton in its mission.

The Cantonal Statistical Office (CSO), Opendata.ch, the University of Zurich (UZH) and the Zurich University of the Arts (ZHdK) are joining forces: In the DIZH Public Data Lab, the four partners are developing and reflecting on indicators that can be used to record and measure social change. To find out how the project participants are specifically tackling these challenges, read more here..
