Statistical evidence and subjective trust building: on the dialogue between different knowledge systems in the DIZH Public Data Lab

Marcel Bleuler and Luzia Rink (ZHdK) will present a poster on the DIZH Public Data Lab at the Swiss Statistics Days 2026 in Rorschach: "Statistical evidence and subjective trust building: on the dialogue between different knowledge systems in the DIZH Public Data Lab."
The PDL brings together an ongoing exchange between project leads from the Office for Statistics and Data of the Canton of Zurich, the University of Zurich, the Zurich University of the Arts, and opendata.ch. This exchange reveals that project partners each operate from their own knowledge systems and cultures, which can complement each other productively while also requiring an ongoing process of mutual understanding. This process is a side effect of the PDL, but it reflects perspectives and dynamics that occur more broadly in society and can be relevant for educational or participatory approaches to statistics. The poster examines aspects of this process of mutual understanding with the aim of offering new impulses for practical application.
